From 1 July 2022, any person who was in Australia for at least 12 months between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021 and who is or becomes a primary 482 visa holder in the Short-term stream will have a pathway to a 186 visa. The grandfathering arrangements for certain 457 visa holders and COVID-19 concessions continue.
